MY BUTT, CROSS STITCHING, PET RATS, MY BUTT, THINGS
Posted March 02, 2013 by Jesse Caits
Just finished adding lots of goodies for this month to the queue. I think I’m catching my flow on churning out content regularly, and I’ve chosen some new spots around the city I want to covertly rub my butt on for the camera. I have to enlist a lookout and someone to press camera buttons, and then I’ll have a whole team centered around my butt.

When I’m not taking pictures of my butt, I am cross stitching. I am not great. I decided I wanted to open an etsy shop where I could take my drawings and turn them into little cross stitch portraits and sell them, and I would be famous and wonderful and happy, so after that dream, I decided I should probably actually learn how to cross stitch, and wow, it’s, you know, it’s cross stitching. It takes forever, and I’ll mostly likely make all the little characters I draw bald so I never have to stitch vast expanses of hair again. I like things like that though, little small repetitive things to do with my hands while I watch movies that I don’t really watch closely.

I watched a kid’s movie about a cute mouse when I was feeling blue one day, and now I have cute rodent fever. I’d like a pet rat, but you can’t just have one- You have to have two so the one rat doesn’t get lonely and depressed and bite you. I guess I’ll carry one on each shoulder. My image of myself is becoming increasingly comical in my head- just this uncomfortable fast-moving ball of sweaters and thread and maybe a plant and a burger and rats, but anyway, so, now I’m saving up for a nice home for my future rat family. People that already have rats seem like they’re all a part of the same rat enthusiast coven of overwhelming love and devotion, so they must not suck.

It feels good to be gathering new habits, things that keep me busy, like cross stitching and drawing regularly. Caring about plants. Pushing myself out of the house when it’s warmest out to have lunch in the park, like I did today. Trading old clothes in at a consignment store that completely robbed me blind, but hey, that’s okay, that’s one of those things that I’d normally say that I was going to do and put off for months. It’s nice to feel like a good person with things I’ve gotta do, and I guess I didn’t have that for a little bit, and a lot of it, I think I’m having for the first time.
